Certainly best book about Tradition crosbows and history of traditional crossbows is Book of crossbow by Sir Ralph Pyne-Gallwey.
It is old book, but certinly the best abot that topic. Also it is very good book about making of traditional crossbow and bolts, also quivers for bolts.
